Short Bio
I started my geo-journey at the oldest European university – the prestigious University of Salamanca in Castile and León, Spain. I graduated with a BSc Hons degree in Engineering Geology, pursuing a versatile professional career.
My first experience, during a summer exploration campaign for hydrothermal Mo-Au-Ag quartz veins in the Babyak region of Bulgaria, shaped my still ongoing passion for discovery. This natural drive has been nurtured throughout my career – from working in exploration at mine sites in Spain (MATSA), Finland (Terrafame), Mexico (Guanaceví), and Peru (Yauricocha, Atacocha, El Porvenir), to greenfield exploration in Spain (Iberian Pyrite Belt). Additionally, I have collaborated as a Geological Consultant for Trafigura and S&P Global Market Intelligence.
My enthusiasm for specializing in mineral resources led me to complete a Master’s degree at the University of Huelva. Later, my motivation to broaden my professional knowledge and horizons drove me to earn a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering at the International University of Andalusia, which paved the way for my collaboration with the Environmental Department of Freeport-McMoRan’s copper refinery, Atlantic Copper.
All my academic and professional experiences have fostered a profound desire to share the knowledge I have gained in a high-quality and accessible way. This passion led to the creation of my science blog, Gaia Titans, which I am now complementing with this more professional platform, Grant Geoscience. I hope you find it useful—and remember to enjoy the journey!
